san antonio insane asylum I am 17 yrs. old and I have lived in San Antonio all my life. just recently, I was introduced to the story of the haunted insane asylum in south San Antonio. Pass the famous haunted tracks and off of Southton Rd. there is a dead end street. At the end of the street there is an abandoned building, and it's super creepy to just look at. There is a couple of holes in the fences that you have to crawl through to go into the building. I've been there a few times already, but I have never gotten off. Well I just went this weekend and I got off this time! I went with a group of friends mostly guys to protect us if anything bad were to happen. We took flashlights because it is pitch black inside. There is still old patient records on the floor and believe it or not there are straight jackets too. Well when we were in there we kept hearing noises, but we didn't run out, not until we heard this noise. I can't explain it but it sounded like a sort of noise you make when your struggling to get free of something or someone. It came from a room where they did that electric shock therapy. As soon as we heard that we were out of there in the blink of an eye. People say that the spirits of the patients still haunt the building and it is stupid to go there because if those spirits were crazy when they were alive, they are going to be crazy dead too. I was really really scared, but for sure I am going to go again sometime soon with halloween just around the corner! -Pam
