Lorain Ohio Ghost My story takes place in Lorain Ohio. It happened to my second cousin, and when I drive by the house, even though rebuilt, it still send eerie chills up my spine. My second cousin married into a wealthy family. I will refer to her as Shari. She and her husband shared a house with his father. I will refer to him as grandfather. They had an old house, one with an Indian look out at the top. Grandfather never liked Shari at all. He felt like she was talking his little boy away from him. One very odd day, the grandfather and a very sad death. While Shari's husband was away on business, Shari would feel the presence of Grandfather. This was not a good feeling. She would dream about him killing her. So from then on she always had her daughter in the bed with her to feel safe. Once again he was away on a business tip, and Shari had her daughter with her to sleep. Shari woke up not being able to breathe. She told my mother that it felt like she had very cold icy hands around her neck. Well, her daughter woke up, and just simply said, "Grandfather, take your hands away from Mommies neck" and Shari was able to breathe again. She was never bothered by Grandfather again. The house burnt down to the ground one year later. They had the house rebuilt. But one day several years later, Shari felt the presence once more. Her daughter was away at a friends party, and her husband at a football party with his friends. She felt the presence like she would feel a wave of water in the ocean. She was in the attic cleaning out an old trunk. It was Grandfathers. She had found letters and notes from him to her husband saying that he should get rid of her and that she was no good. Once again, she felt the cold and icy hands around her, dragging her to a window, and trying to push her out of it. But just as he might have succeeded, her daughter came home, and ran upstairs to fine her. All she had remembered somewhat of Grandfather, and she simply said, "Grandfather, put Mom down right now. And please do not harm her again" The iciness left her and she sat there wide-eyed, and breathless. That was the last time they had ever heard, seen, or felt of Grandfather. They later moved to New York to get away from it all, and the memories. I told you I still get chills every time I drive by that house. I do. This truly happened to my cousin. I am still good friends with Mandy, her daughter. Thank you for listening and hopefully believing.
