Kentucky Back Roads I have lived in pretty much the same place all my life. Everyone in my family knows its haunted. But it's not just one house. It is the property that all our homes sit on. Their has been 3 deaths that I know of on this property. Two being relatives and the first being an unfortunate accident involving an infant. Before my family purchased this property a young woman left her child unattended to go hang laundry out. The child rolled out of its pin and under a wood burning stove where it burned to death. Several times I have thought I heard my children crying only to check on them and have my grandmother tell me that they have been asleep. My grandfather died on his front porch of collapsed lungs due to black lung (emphysema from working in coalmines). In my great grandmothers house you can still see lights from his oxygen tanks, lights go on and off by themselves and you can hear his labored breathing. There is a house down the road from me on highway 85 going toward Sacramento that is said to have the body of a dead preacher in it. the concrete to the patio was poured late a night. The preacher disappeared the night it was poured. Past residents of the house complain of hearing a man crying. There is lots more stories to tell of these Kentucky back roads. Perhaps I will take the time to tell more in the future. Coyote
