The Ghost of St Anns Hi, my name is Sonya, and do I have a true ghost story for you. It all started out when my family and I began camping at St. Ann's Bay Campark. This story was told of a man named Joseph, who once lived on the land on which the campark is now built. Then it was merely only a large field with a large barn, and beside it, in a small opening was his home, where he and his parents lived. Joseph had a girlfriend named Ann. Everyday, Joseph would ride across a ferry which connected St.Ann's to Englishtown, where Ann lived. Ann was considered a Saint by people in this community, because she was such a nice girl. Joseph's parents never liked Ann very much, and were quite mean to her. Joseph and Ann decided to get married. It was said that Joseph was cheating on Ann. Ann's friends tried to tell her but Ann would not believe such a thing of Joseph. They ended up getting married on a beautiful day in the clearing where Joseph's house was. So one day, as Ann and Joseph were crossing the ferry, Ann fell overboard. No one really knows what actually happened. Did she fall? Was she pushed? No one knows and I guess no one ever will. After a while, Joseph married the girl whom he was accused of cheating with. Strangly, she too fell overboard. A couple of days later, Joseph's house was burned to the ground. Some say that it was Ann getting revenge. I guess no one will ever know. To this day, the barn and the clearing with the foundation of Joseph's house is still there. It is said that Ann can be seen every night at midnight around the barn wearing her white wedding dress. Many have claimed to have seen this phenomenon, I myself am a witness. I guess a good story always comes with its name.
